Product Overview
RDP is manufactured by spray-drying aqueous polymer dispersions (typically vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymers, VAE or VAC-VeoVa types) in the presence of protective colloids such as polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). Upon addition of water in the mortar mix, the powder redisperses to reform a stable polymer film within the cementitious matrix.
The polymer film formed after curing bridges micro-cracks, reduces brittleness, and improves adhesion to difficult substrates such as glazed tiles, painted surfaces, and expanded polystyrene (EPS) boards. This makes RDP indispensable in high-performance EIFS, flexible tile adhesives (C2S1/C2S2), and self-leveling compounds.
Our RDP series is formulated to offer excellent redispersibility, low minimum film formation temperature (MFFT), and compatibility with cellulose ethers and other standard mortar additives. The powder is free-flowing and non-blocking under standard storage conditions.

Application
- Flexible Tile Adhesives (C2S1/C2S2): Increases deformability and adhesion strength; enables bonding large-format tiles and natural stone.
- EIFS Base Coats: Provides crack resistance, flexibility, and weatherproof adhesion on EPS and mineral wool substrates.
- Self-Leveling Compounds: Reduces brittleness of high-cement compounds and improves surface abrasion resistance.
- Skim Coats & Wall Putty: Improves adhesion to concrete and improves wet-scrub resistance of the finished surface.
- Waterproofing Slurries: Contributes to flexibility and crack-bridging in cement-based waterproof coatings.
- Repair Mortars: Enhances substrate bond, reduces shrinkage, and improves durability in thin-section repairs.
- Tile Grout: Reduces water absorption and improves stain resistance of the grout joint.
Standard dosage: 1.0–5.0% by weight of dry mix. Higher dosages (3–5%) are used for demanding applications requiring flexibility (S1/S2 class). RDP should be dry-blended thoroughly with other powder components before adding water.
