Product Overview
EASONZELL™ HPMC grades for putty powder are optimized for white cement-, grey cement-, and lime-based wall fillers. Putty is one of the highest-volume applications for HPMC globally, and our range covers the full spectrum from basic single-layer interior putty to high-performance crack-resistant exterior filler systems.
In a typical putty powder formula (white cement + calcium carbonate + HPMC ± HPS), HPMC is the primary functional additive. It governs the two critical performance parameters: water retention (which determines adhesion to the substrate and workability window) and viscosity/thixotropy (which governs ease of application and anti-sagging on vertical walls). Our putty powder grades are available in both standard and high-viscosity options, with delayed dissolution surface treatment for dry bag pre-blending.

Application
EASONZELL™ HPMC for putty powder serves these principal applications:
- Interior wall putty (single and double pass) — provides a smooth, uniform surface for subsequent painting or wallpaper application.
- Exterior wall putty — high-viscosity grades with enhanced water retention for outdoor conditions and temperature variation.
- Crack filler and repair putty — flexible formulations for hairline crack repair before decoration.
- Skim coat over concrete — thin-layer application requiring excellent adhesion and smooth troweling.
Usage notes: For interior putty, typical application thickness is 1–2 mm per coat. Ensure substrate is clean, dust-free, and moderately absorbent before application. In hot or dry conditions, increase HPMC dosage or add HPS to extend workability.
