Product Overview
This range is developed for gypsum plaster, joint compound for gypsum board, gypsum-based decorative products, and gypsum self-leveling underlayment, where the additive interacts closely with the hydration chemistry of the gypsum binder rather than acting as an inert filler.
Cellulose ether dosage and viscosity grade mainly influence setting behavior indirectly through water retention rather than by directly retarding the gypsum reaction, while fineness affects how quickly the powder dissolves and disperses evenly in the gypsum slurry.
| Parameter | Typical Value |
| Appearance | White to off-white powder |
| Viscosity (2% solution, mPa·s) | 10,000 - 60,000, grade dependent |
| pH (1% solution) | 6.0 - 8.0 |
| Moisture content | ≤ 6% |
| Fineness (through 100 mesh) | ≥ 98% |
| Water retention rate (gypsum system) | 95% - 98% |
| Dissolution time | Fast-dissolving, grade dependent |
| Ionic character | Non-ionic |
| Packaging | 25 kg bag, or as agreed |
Application
Suitable for machine-applied and hand-applied gypsum plaster, gypsum board joint compound and joint filler, gypsum-based decorative products, and gypsum self-leveling underlayment.
- Machine-sprayed and hand-applied gypsum plaster
- Joint compound and joint filler for gypsum board
- Gypsum-based decorative and cornice products
- Gypsum-based self-leveling underlayment
For machine application, a fast-dissolving, low-fisheye grade is generally preferred to avoid blockages and ensure smooth pumping through the spray equipment.
