Product Overview
This grade family is used across interior and exterior latex paints, primers and textured coatings, functioning as a primary or secondary thickener that works together with associative thickeners to shape the rheology profile at low, medium and high shear rates. Formulators use it to fine-tune brush drag, roller spatter and sag resistance without upsetting the rest of the paint system.
Good cold-water solubility simplifies the manufacturing process, and the polymer is generally compatible with the pigments, dispersants, defoamers and biocides used in modern low-VOC coating formulations. It also helps stabilize pigment suspension during storage and transport, reducing settling and improving shelf consistency.

Application
Suited to interior emulsion wall paints, exterior weatherproof and elastomeric coatings, decorative textured finishes, and tinting base formulations where consistent viscosity across the color range is important.
- Interior wall emulsion paints
- Exterior weatherproof and elastomeric coatings
- Textured and decorative wall finishes
- Putty and filler compounds used ahead of painting
- Tinting base formulations requiring stable viscosity across the color range
Add slowly to the water phase under moderate agitation to avoid lump formation, and allow full hydration time before taking a final viscosity reading.
